SOFIA TOMACRUZ

Sofia Tomacruz is a multimedia reporter at Rappler, covering health, education, and social welfare. She also writes stories on women, children, and gender issues. Before that, she was a researcher-writer at Rappler’s investigative and business sections.

In 2017, she was awarded the International Labour Organization’s Global Media Award for her coverage on fair recruitment of migrant workers.

Sofia graduated from Ateneo de Manila University in 2016 with a degree in Communication and minor in Literature.

Her interests include Philippine history, geopolitics, stationery, makeup, and practicing Barre.
