Top 10: Local celebrities who should get body insurance

MANILA, Philippines — If you’ve got it, flaunt it. And then insure it!

Every now and then, we hear of Hollywood celebrities who famously drop dollars to protect their money-making parts. Remember when J.Lo caused all that buzz by insuring her bum for  $300 million? 

Today, the roster of insured A-listers includes the sensible (such as Daniel Craig getting whole-body insurance while doing his own stunts for the Bond films) as well as the bizarre (Van Halen front man David Roth insured his sperm against paternity “damages”).

Cost-wise, though, it’s Mariah Carey who runs away with this trend when she reportedly invested in her legs for a whopping $1 billion.

While the practice has yet to reach local shores, we think it’s about time for local celebrities to follow suit, especially since most of them take great pains to look that good. After all, if you’ve worked hard to get that figure, wouldn’t you want to keep it safe at all costs?
