Max's Restaurant and Brillante Mendoza produce a heartwarming film just in time for Father's day

MANILA, Philippines – Prepare your tissues for a heart warming short film that shows how a father’s love is one of a kind.

Just in time for Father’s Day this June 19, the short film, “Debut,” was just recently released online. This is third installment of Max’s Restaurant and renowned director Brillante “Dante” Mendoza’s short film series “Si Dante at si Max.”

“Debut” stars veteran actor Julio Diaz as a selfless single father who works at Max’s to make ends meet. The film tells the story of how he works day in and day out to fulfill a promise to his late wife for their only daughter.

Max’s Facebook followers poured their hearts out and shared fond memories about their fathers shortly after its release online.

“Debut,” like the other short films in the series, is inspired by handpicked stories from ordinary Filipinos’ extraordinary experiences with Max’s Restaurant.

On its 70th anniversary, The House That Fried Chicken Built teamed up with 2009 Cannes Film Festival Best Director, Brillante Mendoza to further encapsulate Max’s vision and turn it into a heartwarming reality. The two proudly Filipino icons launched an exclusive screening of all four collaborations last December 17, 2015.

“Debut” and all the other Max’s short films can be watched on their YouTube channel

Max’s Restaurant will also be playing “Debut” in all their stores nationwide this Father’s Day, for some #TataysLove that anyone can appreciate on this special day. – Rappler.com
