MANILA, Philippines – As exciting as entering into a new milestone may seem, it also brings in big changes, big challenges and big worries. How do you prepare your kid for longer days, more assignments and making new friends? These are questions Kristine asks herself.
“If he’ll behave in school. If he’ll eat well, or if he’ll pay attention. ‘Cause si Kiel, medyo problem ko sa kanya, well, lahat naman ‘ata ng kids ganun, medyo short 'yung attention span.” It’s not just Kiel’s behavior and the distractions she’s worried about. Kristine also finds herself wondering how Kiel will do without her. She asks herself, “Maintindihan ba niya? If he reads, will he be able to understand it ba talaga completely without any help?”
Worrying is a big part of being a mom. Despite her worries, Kristine is assured that Kiel is ready for his next big step.
Communication is an important tool for making sure your kids enjoy their big school experience. Talk to your kids’ teachers and other school officials all year round; like Kristine who makes an effort to know how Kiel is doing in school, “If there’s anything that we need to know about our children, kelangan sabihin nila kaagad.”
More importantly, you should always spend time to get to know your kid. Ask them how they did in school and in class. “Nagpapakwento kami sa kanya [Kiel] – ‘what happened in school today?’” says the full-time actress and mom. The stories they tell will guide you to better prepare your kids on a day-to-day basis, be it with school work or making new friends.
Of course, having a strong body also helps. Kiel faces physically challenging activities every day, like carrying his school bag. “Hirap na hirap siya dun sa malaki niyang bag.” said Kristine. “Yun palang nahihirapan na siya, pa’no pa kaya sa mga activities sa loob ng school na mas mahirap?” But as long as you give your kids the right nutrients – along with a little encouragement – your kids can take on the challenges of big school. “Lagi ko sinasabi kay Kiel: it’s okay. You’re a strong boy.”
According to Kristine, Kiel prefers a healthy diet over junk food kids tend to prefer. Given the choice, he would rather have a whole wheat bread sandwich over pizza. But while Kiel’s food choices aren’t exactly typical for children his age, it isn’t enough. Kids like Kiel need essential nutrients found in milk, like NIDO FORTIGROW, to help them face everyday school challenges. Because of its creamy and delicious taste, Kristine requires little effort to get himo drink it. “Nag-ni-NIDO na talaga siya. He really loves it.”
Thanks to NIDO FORTIGROW, you can give your kids the nutrients they need to face the day-to-day challenges that lie ahead. It has the 3D Nutrition System that has Brain Support Nutrients, Protection Nutrients, and Growth Builders to help them be mind and body ready for school.
