Catch Williams, Nadal and other tennis superstars at the Int’l Premier Tennis League

MANILA, Philippines – PLDT HOME Fibr is bringing back the world’s top tennis players to Manila for season two of the International Premier Tennis League (IPTL), which takes place on December 6-8 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila.

Known as ‘Meka’ and ‘Momma Smash’, Williams has won the most major singles, doubles, and mixed doubles titles combined for active players, male or female. (READ: Is Serena Williams the greatest female athlete in history?)

Accompanying Williams on the Philippine squad are Mixed Doubles Grand Slam titleholder Richard Gasquet, Wimbledon Championships WTA titleholder Sabine Lisicki, 2013 Australian Open Mixed Doubles titleholder Jarmila Gajdosova, the youngest Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) top 100 Borna Coric, ATP World Tour Doubles titleholder and Pinoy pride Treat Huey, and World No. 8 in men’s singles and Mavericks Team captain Mark Philippoussis. 

Williams’ team will be playing against the Micromax Indian Aces, which will be spearheaded by Rafael Nadal, along with Frenchmen Fabrice Santoro and Gael Montfils, Polish star Agniezka Radwanska, Croatia’s Ivan Dodig, No. 29 in the world, and Indian bets Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna.

Commencing on December 2 in Kobe, Japan, the IPTL’s three-day Manila leg will be played as part of a five-nation tour. Scheduled stops at New Delhi, Dubai, and Singapore will follow.
