GOMO celebrates first anniversary with lineup of all-digital activities
The Unstoppable GOMO Fam got to work out with REBEL, stream a horror-thriller, and play games with big streamers

So much of how we live today is shaped around the digital world. The kinds of content we consume are online, and we rely on algorithms to suggest to us what to try next. Most of our interactions with friends and family are also through messaging apps or video calls. Even game nights, workouts, and schooling are things we do through the interwebs.

Life carrying on through the digital world has turned data into fuel for productivity and leisure. This is something that GOMO, the “untelco” brand, understands full well. GOMO, after all, grants its subscribers the freedom and flexibility to use data however they want.

With no expiry 5G data, subscribers are dubbed as the “Unstoppables”, with the ability to keep on thriving even when life takes a pause. The Unstoppable GOMO Fam continues to live well-rounded lives by accessing social media, creativity platforms, streaming sites, as well as upskilling and gaming apps.

And for GOMO’s first birthday celebrations, they gave their one million strong GOMO Fam exclusive rewards to help turn them into modern-day renaissance men and women.

This October, GOMO lined up special events featuring renowned groups and guests whom subscribers had the chance to spend some time with.

The celebrations began last October 6 and 13, where users got to train with REBEL coaches Ytle Cruzado and Tinoy Borromeo for dance and high-intensity interval training (HIIT). The last workout session was last October 20 with coach Carla Piscoso for HIIT-Core.

For Halloween lovers, GOMO created a watch party together with Upstream where Unstoppables watched the highly-acclaimed horror-thriller animated film Beauty Water for free. The film, which was based on a Korean webtoon, has created a cult following after its success in creating a psych-horror story revolving around beauty and plastic surgery.

There was also a special for Ylona Garcia fans who got to join the #AskYlona livestream and Facebook takeover where the artist talked about her life and music, and gave the GOMO fam a look into what she’s planning in the near future.

And a game night was also held last October 23, where GOMO subscribers joined a Mobile Legends tournament and got a chance to fight side by side with two of the country’s biggest gaming personalities, Ashley Gosiengfiao and Aryanna Epperson.

Throughout the month, the GOMO fam also got a chance to receive vouchers from Lazada, Shopee, Grab, PureGo, Upstream, and Lalamove via codes through the brand’s official Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as the GOMO app.

Only a year into the telco scene, and GOMO is already demonstrating just how much life has changed since access to the internet expanded people’s lives and opportunities. There’s definitely a lot more in store for GOMO, especially as digital natives continue to take over.
