DAVAO, Philippines – The Philippines is a nation run by SMEs. A whopping 96 percent of the country’s business sector is made up of SMEs, contributing 53 percent to the region’s gross domestic product. With numbers like these, both government and private institutions are encouraged to continue focusing on and empowering SMEs.
Now, at the tail end of 2015, Globe is looking to end the year right for SMEs with their Globe myBusiness Day event in Davao, a one-stop experience for business owners, start-ups, and aspiring entrepreneurs.
The goal of the event is to showcase various solutions and resources to further empower local SMEs. There will be talks from experts and successful business owners, like Anthony Pangilinan of Businessworks and RJ Ledesma, co-founder of Mercato Centrale, as well as raffles and fun activities.
The event will be on Monday, December 14 from 10 am to 7 pm at the SMX Convention Center in Davao.
