OPPO provides 100 brand new A12e phones for PH students in need
Under the #eSchoolwithOPPO campaign, their goal is to raise Php 500,000 to help provide Basic Learning Kits to Filipino students

[Editor’s note: Despite the changes brought by the pandemic, Academic Year 2020-2021 formally opened on October 5. This month, GoodRap is focusing on back-to-school initiatives that were created to help students and teachers with the shift to elearning.

In line with this, OPPO has been running its #eSchoolwithOPPO campaign. Below is their story.]

As the academic year begins, one of the biggest problems students and teachers face is having laptops, smartphones, or other gadgets that can help them access elearning sites.

Months before the formal opening of classes, global smart device company OPPO already recognized this need. In July 2020, it donated 100 brand new units of the latest OPPO A12e smartphone units as well as 100 new Rockspace Torch Bluetooth earphones to Save the Children.

The smartphones and earphones are for students whose families may not be able to support the needs required by the shift to online learning.

This donation was made through the organization’s Project ARAL advocacy campaign, which aims to help more Filipino students in the National Capital Region have the means to enroll in online classes.

It is also part of OPPO’s #eSchoolwithOPPO Back-to-School campaign. Through this initiative, OPPO’s goal is to make sure they provide students with back-to-school equipment that can help them keep up with elearning.

Here are the other initiatives under this campaign:

Permanent price drops

Students can avail of permanent price drops for some of its best-selling smartphone products. These include A9 2020, A5s, Reno2, and Reno2 F.

Save the Children partnership

OPPO is also continuing its partnership with Save the Children through a fundraising collaboration for the Project ARAL campaign. The partnership aims to raise a total amount of Php 500,000 that will be used to equip more than 500 Filipino students with Basic Learning Kits. These kits will include art materials, notebooks, pencils, and other learning tools.

#BTSUniformChallenge

Through this latest effort for the fundraising campaign, OPPO encourages everyone to share before and after photos wearing their high school or college uniform.

Aside from raising awareness and support towards the fundraising campaign, this challenge was created to show moral support to students as they adjust to the new elearning system.
