Visit these round-the-clock restaurants for midnight snacks and a round of drinks

MANILA, Philippines – Manila is a city that never sleeps, and it’s not just the clubs that are open ‘til the sun rises. If you’re looking for a more laid-back venue after hours spent fist-pumping to hypnotic EDM or catching your latest indie band obsession, continue the festivities where you can get a round of drinks with a side of comfort food.

There are lots to choose from but here we list some of those you may have overlooked on your last search. All stay open after the clock strikes 12.

Visit these restaurants in the wee hours of the morning and see Manila come alive.

1. Tipsy Pig Gastropub
Capital Commons, Meralco ave. cor. Shaw boulevard, Oranbo, Pasig City
Open until 3 am

For the ultimate mix of good food and good drinks, it’s Tipsy Pig you’d want to visit. They offer some of the best bar chow in the city, and their “Crispa” or Crispy Belly Pizza (P420) and Belly Good Sisig Tacos (P280) are not to be missed.

On the drinks front, they’ve got a great selection of cocktails you can choose from, including a no-nonsense Mojito (P187) that has a slight zest to complement your meaty orders. Other signature cocktails worth trying are Emily’s Garden (P225), Pam Julep (P225), and Quite a Patty (P225).

2. Reserve Gastro Tavern

Ready to trade cocktail tables for leather chairs but still want a party vibe? Head over to Reserve Gastro Tavern. Their music will make you feel like you never left the club at all, but the extensive (and delicious) food selection will surely clue you in on what’s different.

To get the best of both worlds, gorge on their panizzas (P550-P720) that come in a variety of topping combinations and get buzzed with a round of their signature Mojito Apple (P170).

3. I-Bagnet Resto & Bar

Open until 3 am

A rice meal might not be the quintessential pulutan, but I-Bagnet’s Bagnet Value Meal (P195) is a surprisingly good match for a glass of rum on the rocks. The crispy fried pork belly comes with a warm cup of rice and a side of runny fried egg, making it a proper post-inuman cure as well.

While in the restaurant, you can choose to either seat indoors, or lounge outside and enjoy the live music at Metrowalk’s central plaza.

4. Queens at Bollywood

Open until 1:30 am on Fridays and Saturdays (12 am the rest of the week)

Liven up your taste buds with a slew of spicy dishes at Queens of Bollywood. A cult favorite for its affordable drinks selection, the restaurant’s menu is also filled with Indian staples that go well with cold drinks like the North Indian lemonade called Shikanji (P109) or a Long Island Iced Tea (P189).

Although they may be considered too exotic by some, dishes like the cheesy Palak Paneer (P339), crispy Samosa (P119), and spicy Chicken Tandoori (P379) all make for excellent comfort food, too.

5. Fred’s Revolución

Open until 2 am on Saturdays and Sundays (1 am on weekdays)

Delicious food, affordable drinks, and good company converge at Fred’s Revolución. A laid-back venue inside the hip Cubao X, it’s a good place for an extended bonding session with your barkada.

As you chat with your friends, share a pitcher of Daiquiri made with fresh fruits (fruits and price vary depending on availability) and delicious plates inspired by cuisines from all over the globe. If you’re feeling adventurous, go for the buffalo-style Ho Chi Wings (P188), spicy Thai Fish Curry on Crispy Noodles (P188), and Pepito’s Sofrito (P168), a dish made with either pork or fish and the aromatic latin-american “sofrito” sauce.
