The races will be held in Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand

MANILA, Philippines — This year’s Formula 4 (F4) Southeast Asian Championship is coming back to the Philippines, and leading oil company Petron is its official fuel partner for the second year.

During Petron’s media launch last September 26 at Makati Diamond Residences, the company announced that Petron Blaze 100 Euro 6 and Blaze Racing Engine Oils would be used in the upcoming F4 races.

“Petron has been chosen by one of the most prestigious events in motorsports as its official fuel and engine oil partner. We aim to give the best experience not only to Filipinos, but to the Southeast Asian market as well,” said Bong Paguia, Petron Station Marketing Head.

But as host James Deakin asked, “With all the choices of global brands in Southeast Asia, why Petron?”

PROUDLY PINOY. Research and Development Head Ronald Chiong shows how the Philippine-made Petron Blaze 100 Euro 6 gasoline and Petron Blaze Racing Engine Oil went through numerous tests.

Ronald Chiong, Petron’s Research and Development Head, explained that having gone through local and international testing institutions such as SGS Philippines, SGS UK, ISP Institute Germany, and Millbrook UK, the proudly Filipino-made Petron Blaze 100 Euro 6 has a clear advantage over other fuels.

Here’s what makes the 100-octane premium gasoline formulation the best option for the F4 Southeast Asian Championship:

  • Offers powerful performance and acceleration

  • Provides excellent engine protection

  • Guarantees cleaner engines on 1 full tank

  • Reduces harmful emissions

  • Provides improved fuel economy

  • Prolongs the life of aftertreatment emission systems, lowering maintenance costs

“Last 2016, they were able to try our fuel. And now they’ve come back to partner with us not only for the Philippine leg, but for the whole 2017 series. I think they were able to recognize the quality of our products,” said Bong.

Blaze 100 Euro 6 is the only 100-octane fuel in the country, available in Petron stations.

“By using Blaze 100 Euro 6, you will be able to feel the power, the efficiency of your engine. It will also save you a lot of money in terms of fuel efficiency and car maintenance,” added Bong.

Consisting of 30 races, the F4 SEA Championship kicks off in Sepang, Malaysia on September 29-October 1. The second leg is scheduled here in the Philippines at the Clark International Speedway from October 20-22. The third leg will be held in Sentul, Indonesia on November 24-26. The series will move to Thailand from January 12-14, 2018, then return to Sepang, Malaysia on February 9-11 for the finals. – Rappler.com
