What: Project Yolanda – DRILLS (Developing Resiliency in Local Leadership and Schools of Haiyan)

As one of the special projects of Children’s Hour, in partnership with Pasar Foundation Inc., under Health and Nutrition, the program aims to help children from Isabel (Western part of Leyte) become healthy, literate and safe. Their goal is to eradicate hunger and malnutrition in local schools and lessen their vulnerabilities against disaster.

The project gives free meals in schools for 120 days and provides parents and school officials guidance to manage health and nutrition issues through the production of local food in support of the schools’ Gulayan sa Paaralan. 

What you can do: Help prepare meals during the feeding program at Children Shelter, Pangarap Foundation. Cook in the kitchen for large groups with the ingredients provided. Help in the clean up after prepraration, sanitize the feeding area, wash dishes and dispose of waste
