MANILA, Philippines – Embarking on any other career or profession requires you, at the basic level, to meet the standards of the company or employer. But these requirements are not just for a regular 9-5 desk job.

A potential special agent will go through a similar albeit tougher and more rigorous process. The nature of the job is not what you hear about everyday, or a profession that many consider after college, but he or she must have nerves of steel and exceptional physical prowess in order to become one.

We see it in movies or TV series, and can’t help but be drawn to these mysterious men and women who run across rooftops, use amazing gadgets, jump into glass windows, and hop from one country to another under different aliases. 

You’ll have a bigger chance of being qualified if you’re part of the military with outstanding skills and talent. There are tests to ace and new skills to learn that are both physically and mentally demanding. These tests range from breaking codes, mastering a martial art or two, defusing bombs and hacking into complex systems.

Back alleys, mountains and forests are your playground. A day in the office may include handcuffing an international crime czar or assuming someone else’s identity. It’s an incredible rush, yet extremely risky, and your safety is not always guaranteed.
