MANILA, Philippines – When you want to celebrate a milestone in your life, you go big. You bring together your colleagues, family, friends, friends of friends, second and third cousins – everyone you want to share your special moment with – and have a blast.

With Filipino culture, we either keep things simple and intimate or we go all out when it comes to weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and even corporate events. We are always on the look out for something new and unique places to celebrate in.
Having a flexible venue with a high ceiling and wide, open spaces are just but one of the options we have in the Metro. But similar to how we want to celebrate and organize events, we want to create something better than other options. We go big, use state of the art technology and show elegant yet functional designs.

Its contemporary design is complemented by customized furniture by renowned Filipino designer Kenneth Cobonpue and commissioned Hong Kong based art consultant and international interior designer Anja Silling of Melange Interiors Ltd. to create a luxurious ambiance through modern art pieces. Other stellar Filipino art pieces are also featured in the ballroom.

Three grand events

The Marriott Grand Ballroom was launched with a series of events that kicked off last July 1, with the official ribbon cutting, Dragon dance and a concert by Grammy-winning singer, James Ingram. The concert’s opening act was Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha.

To cap off the launch series on July 6, the ballroom was transformed into a runway for a wedding show entitled “Marry Me at the Marriott.” Top Filipino designers Rajo Laurel, JC Buendia, Frederick Peralta, Rhett Eala, Jun Escario and Randy Ortiz showcased their latest wedding collection in one night.
