Family-style dining is a Filipino tradition. Around the table is where Pinoys feel most connected to loved ones. With restrictions loosening and COVID-19 cases going down, some will be able to finally celebrate the holidays with family.

Leading up to the Christmas festivities, Thanksgiving in the United States is the start of the holiday season, where family gatherings start sprouting left and right. Kitchen 143 host Michelle Aventajado is currently in the US to visit family, and since it’s Thanksgiving, this episode is airing on a Thursday instead of the usual Tuesday schedule.

Joining this episode is Nicole Thorp of Nic’s, a gourmet establishment that’s been around for 20 years supplying some of our favorite restaurants with their staple dishes.

Also joining us are Waterfront Hotel and Casino’s chefs Tristan Encarnacion and King Buño.
