MANILA, Philippines – Experience an intensive music camp set in idyllic Baguio for violin, viola, cello, winds, piano, and guitar with the Manila Symphony Orchestra (MSO) Music Academy faculty led by MSO music director-conductor Professor Arturo Molina.

Following last year’s music camp in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro, “Summer Out There: Baguio Edition: The Second MSO Summer Music Camp” will be held from April 26 to May 1 at the ICM House of Prayer on Recto Road, Baguio City.

This is part of the 2016 Baguio Summer Music Festival that also includes concerts on June 5 (featuring soprano Stefanie Quintin and guitarist Anton Avila) and July 2 (clarinettist Andrew Constantino and pianist Gabriel Paguirigan) this year. The visits of the music artist are made possible by Genesis Transport Services.

The levels to be accepted are from beginner to advanced, ages 8 years old upwards. The activities lined up are:

Camp fees:

  • P1,500 for Baguio residents (classes only )
  • P7,800 MSO Academy and Manila Symphony Junior Orchestra students

For those from out of Baguio, the fees cover training, transportation, food, accommodation, T-shirt, participation in the mini-recitals and community concerts.The add-ons are: P1,000 for one-hour individual lesson and P600 for a 30-minute individual lesson.

Slots for classes and accommodations are limited. Deadline for registration is on April 15. The academy offers a 5% early bird discount to those who will register on or before April 1.
