Skyway Buendia on-ramp, Faraday St closed April 8-10
Motorists are advised to take alternate routes due to road closures for the Skyway Stage 3 construction project

MANILA, Philippines – Motorists passing through areas affected by the ongoing Skyway Stage 3 project are advised to take alternate routes this weekend.

Faraday Street in Makati City and the Skyway Buendia on-ramp will be closed to motorists starting 10 pm on Friday, April 8, until 5 am on Sunday, April 10, to give way to construction work between Faraday and Finlandia streets in Makati.

The Osmeña service road beside the Buendia flyover will remain open to motorists over the weekend, the Skyway Stage 3 management said.

The service road will then be temporarily closed until April 14 as the construction work continues. Faraday Street and the Skyway Buendia on-ramp will be reopened during that time.

Motorists traveling along Osmeña Highway are advised to avoid Faraday Street. Meanwhile, motorists heading to Skyway or the South Luzon Expressway may go straight towards Magallanes on-ramp via the at-grade road.

Additional traffic enforcers will be deployed to assist affected motorists.

The Skyway Stage 3 construction project began in February 2014. It will run from Buendia in Makati City to Balintawak in Quezon City, connecting the South Luzon and North Luzon Expressways.

Once completed, travel time from the north to the south of Metro Manila is expected to decrease from two hours to 20 minutes. – Rappler.com
