Motorists warned: Buendia, Quirino Ave affected by Skyway Stage 3 works
The concessionaire of Skyway Stage 3 says it will start excavation, column, and beam works at 10 pm on Monday, August 15

MANILA, Philippines – Motorists going to Quirino Avenue in Manila from Buendia in Makati City beware: traffic is about to get worse.

On Sunday, August 14, the concessionaire of Skyway Stage 3 said that it would begin works on the excavation, column, and beam at 10 pm on Monday, August 15.

San Miguel Corporation-led Citra warned northbound motorists that the construction works for Skyway Stage 3 will run for 3 months.

The concessionaire encouraged motorists coming from the Skyway to use the Skyway Magallanes off-ramp or the Don Bosco off-ramp to go to Makati City.

Meanwhile, motorists coming down from the Skyway Buendia off-ramp will have to use the Osmeña service road toward their destination in Manila.

To manage traffic, Citra said trucks, container vans, and other vehicles higher than 4.5 meters will be diverted to designated alternate routes.

More traffic enforcers will also be deployed around the construction site, the concessionaire added.

Together with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, the Toll Regulatory Board, the Makati Public Safety Department and Skyway O&M Corporation, Citra said it appeals for public understanding and apologizes for any inconvenience that the project may cause. – Rappler.com
