Metro Manila traffic rerouting for Undas 2016

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – Traffic rerouting will be implemented in parts of Metro Manila for All Saints’ Day on Tuesday, November 1, and All Souls’ Day on Wednesday, November 2.

With huge crowds expected to visit cemeteries, the public is advised to take note of the road schemes below.

MAKATI CITY – October 31 to November 2

Roads closed

• Kalayaan Avenue from Zapote to N Garcia Street
• South Avenue from Metropolitan to JP Rizal Street
• Vito Cruz from South Avenue to Zapote Street
• Pililia Street from JP Rizal to Kalayaan Avenue

Roads open to one-way traffic

• Kalayaan Avenue from N Garcia to Makati Avenue
• Metropolitan Avenue from South Avenue to N Garcia

Roads open to two-way traffic

• JP Rizal Street from Pasong Tirad to Makati Avenue
• Kalayaan Avenue from Pasong Tirad to Zapote

The Makati Public Safety Department (MAPSA) on Tuesday, October 25, advised motorists and commuters to take alternate routes, and avoid areas within the vicinity of the Manila South Cemetery.

MAPSA traffic enforcers and barangay deputies will be deployed to assist in traffic management.

 

MALABON CITY

MARIKINA CITY – October 29 at 12 pm to November 2 at 12 pm

Going to Loyola Memorial Park

• Gate 2 will serve as the entrance to the cemetery. To get there, vehicles must turn left to Plaza delas Flores, then left to Paspasan Street, right to Don Gonzalo Puyat Street.
• Gate 1, which is the main gate of Loyola Memorial Park, will serve as the exit. Vehicles will be directed to turn right to Paspasan Street, turn left to Chorillo Street, and left to A. Bonifacio Avenue.
• A. Bonifacio Avenue will only be open to one-way eastbound traffic from Barangka Flyover to Shoe Avenue Stoplight. Vehicles will have to take Marcos Highway and take Barangka Flyover or Barangka Underloop to access A. Bonifacio Avenue. 

Riverbanks Avenue will only be open to one-way southbound traffic, towards Marcos Highway. Vehicles can access the said highway from A. Bonifacio Avenue by accessing Riverbanks Avenue.

The City Government of Marikina advised that motorists should park at the pay parking area of Riverbanks Mall if Loyola Memorial Park is already full with parked vehicles.

PASIG CITY – November 1 at 3 pm

• From Mega Market to San Joaquin/ Pateros, PUVs and PUJs must turn left to F. Manalo Street, left to F. Antonio Street, right to Pio Alvarez Street, to cross Kalawaan Bridge, right to Elisco Road, to destination
• From Mega Market to Rotonda, PUVs and PUJs must turn right to F. Manalo Street, left to E. Angeles Street, left to C. Raymundo Avenue, to destination
• From San Joaquin/ Pateros to Mega Market, all PUJs must take Elisco Road, left to M. Jimenez Street, to cross Kalawaan Bridge, right to F. Antonio Street, left to Balderrama Street, to destination
• From A. Mabini Street to Mega Market, PUVs and PUJs  must turn left to M.H. Del Pilar Street, right to E. Angeles Street, right to F. Manalo Street, to destination
• From Ortigas Avenue (via C. Raymundo Avenue) to Rotonda/ C-5/ Shaw Boulevard/ Pasig Cemetery, vehicles must turn right to Stella Maris Street, left to Dr. Sixto Antonio Avenue, to destination
• From Ortigas Avenue (via C. Raymundo Avenue) to Pasig City Cemetery, vehicles must turn right to Stella Maris Street, left to Dr. Sixto Antonio Avenue, straight to Rotonda, left to C. Raymundo Avenue, to destination
• From Ortigas Avenue (via C. Raymundo Avenue) to Pasig Mega Market, vehicles must turn left to F. Legaspi Street, right to Market Avenue, to destination
• From Mercedes Avenue to Pasig City Cemetery (Barracks), vehicles must turn right to C. Raymundo Avenue, left to Stella Maris Street, left to Dr. Sixto Antonio Avenue, straight to Rotonda, left to C. Raymundo Avenue, to destination; Or vehicles can turn left to Market Avenue, right to Dr. Pilapil Street, right to C. Raymundo Avenue, to destination 

According to the Pasig City Traffic and Parking Management Office (TPMO), vehicles will not be allowed to enter the cemeteries. Other restrictions are as follow:

Pasig Catholic Cemetery

• No parking along Caruncho Avenue (Eastbound) Immaculada School Side
• One-side parking along Caruncho Avenue (Westbound) Central Elementary School Side
• One-side parking along G. Raymundo, Malinao (Eastbound)
• One way to traffic along G. Raymundo, Malinao (Eastbound)

Pasig City Cemetery (Barracks)

• No parking along C. Raymundo Avenue, from E. Angeles Street, Barangay Sagad up to Mercedes Avenue (Northbound)
• One way to traffic along C. Raymundo Avenue from E. Angeles Street up to Stella Maris Street (Northbound)

Santolan Cemetery

• No parking along Padre Lupo Street 

SAN JUAN CITY – November 1

Going to San Juan Cemetery

• Boni Serrano Avenue corner Horseshoe Drive is a one-way street going to San Juan Cemetery up to 1st West Street
• All vehicles from EDSA going to San Juan must turn right to 2nd Avenue, then turn left to S Road, straight ahead to Mariposa Street, turn left to C Benitez Street straight ahead to Boni Serrano Avenue

Going to Ortigas Avenue

• All vehicles from EDSA going to San Juan must turn right to 2nd Avenue, then turn left to S Road, straight ahead to Mariposa Street, turn left to C Benitez Street and turn left to Boni Serrano Avenue

San Juan – Crame Terminal

• From A Luna Street corner N Domingo Street, right to Pinaglabanan Street straight ahead to Santolan Road crossing Ortigas Avenue to Boni Serrano Avenue up to the drop point area of Tyler Street corner Boni Serrano Avenue
• All PUJs from San Juan to Crame must proceed to their designated terminal at 3rd West Street corner Boni Serrano Avenue to pick up passengers going back to San Juan
• From 3rd West Street corner Boni Serrano Avenue (San Juan Crame terminal), must take left turn to 2nd Avenue, left to S Road, straight ahead Mariposa Street, left to C Benitez Street then right to Boni Serrano Avenue going to their destination

Murphy Cubao – Crame terminal

• From Boni Serrano Avenue corner EDSA, all PUJs Murphy Cubao-Crame must take left turn to 1st West Street, right to Road 1 then right to 3rd West Street to their terminal
• From 3rd West Street, all PUJs Murphy Cubao-Crame must take right turn to Boni Serrano Avenue going to EDSA/Cubao going to their destination.

Adamson – Cubao terminal

• From Boni Serrano Avenue corner EDSA, all PUJs Adamson-Cubao must take right turn to 2nd Avenue, left to S Road, straight ahead to Mariposa Street, left to C Benitez Street then left to Boni Serrano Avenue to their terminal Sunrise I
• From Boni Serrano Avenue corner Sunrise I (Adamson-Cubao terminal), must take Boni Serrano Avenue going to EDSA/Cubao going to their destination
