DEVEX Manila 40 under 40

Devex, the world’s largest community of aid and development professionals, is now accepting nominations for the official Manila 40 Under 40, where the next generation of global and local development leaders based in Metro Manila will be recognized and celebrated. Following successful 40 Under 40 events in London in 2011 and Washington, D.C. in 2010, Devex is proud to have selected the Philippines as the first developing country to host this event.

We are seeking leaders who are:

• Making an observable development impact.
• Helping to shape the development agenda.
• Based in Metro Manila or have a professional connection to Metro Manila. Development leaders working in Mindanao, for example, but with an office or business in Metro Manila are eligible. Foreign nationals are also eligible.
• 40 or younger as of Dec. 31, 2012.

Our goal is to highlight and celebrate the important work of the next generation of leaders in the global development community in Metro Manila. We expect that the final list of Manila 40 Under 40 awardees will include a diverse mix of leaders from international development agencies, the Philippine government, the private sector and civil society.

Awardees will be honored during a formal reception at the brand new Zuellig Building in Makati City in February 2013. Approximately 200 government officials, corporate leaders, philanthropists and other prominent global development professionals will be in attendance.
