Scholarship requirements:
  • Must be a Filipino citizen
  • Attending a Philippine accredited school (must submit proof for schools outside the Philippines)
  • High school graduate of the application year (i.e. March 2012 graduate for SY 2012-2014 scholarship)Aged 16 to 18 years-old by August of selection year
  • Ranked in the top ten percent of their graduating class (with proof of academic excellence i.e. grades of 92% or higher in ALL courses and activities)
Selection process:
Stage 1: Application
Applications will be considered once the following documentation is received (you may download the application form here):

Stage 2: Interview
Candidates with qualifying application scores will be short-listed. The National Committee will invite qualified applicants for the interview in Makati, Philippines. The selection committee will provide applicants with details on the interview criteria and dates with the interview invitation. Interviewees from other cities and provinces are expected to pay for their own travel costs.
 
Stage 3: Nomination
Successful candidates are nominated to specific UWC schools and colleges. The schools and colleges generally accept the nominated candidates on the recommendation of the national committee but reserve the right to make the final decision on every candidate. The Philippines National Committee reserves the right to revoke nomination of the Filipino candidate for terms agreed in this application. Enrollment is official only when the nominated candidate receives an acceptance and invitation letter from the Head of the College.
