The Killers live in Manila

MANILA, Philippines – Look on the bright side, because The Killers are finally coming to Manila for a live concert on September 26, 2013 at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.

The rock band will be performing seminal hits such as “Hot Fuss,” “Mr. Brightside,” and “Somebody Told Me,” as well as tracks from their latest album, Battle Born.

The Las Vegas-born quartet rose to fame with their unique brand of music, which fuses Indie rock and British pop.

The band was formed in 2001 after vocalist Brandon Flowers responded to an ad posted by guitarist Dave Keuning. The following year, drummer Ronnie Vannucci, Jr. and bass player Mark Stoermer joined them. They released their debut record Hot Fuss in 2004, which instantly gained cult status.

Since then, The Killers have sold over 5 million albums in the US and over 4.5. million copies in the UK. The group also continues to be a fixture at music festivals around the world.

Their latest album Battle Born features their first hit single Runaways – which was voted by Rolling Stone Magazine as the Best Song of Summer 2012.

Battle Born is also the band’s fourth studio album and their fourth No. 1 album in the United Kingdom.
