MANILA, Philippines — Are you a fan of the Iron Chef series? Now, you can meet one of them in the flesh, and he will cook for you, too.
On March 20, Cignal Digital TV and Colours present Feast of Colours, a dinner gala starring Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian. This event is for the benefit of the Philippine Disaster Recovery Foundation (PDRF). PDRF is currently focusing on the needs of victims of the calamities of the last quarter of 2013 and early this year.

Chef Zakarian, the first New York chef to receive 3 straight Three Star reviews, is best known as the winner of The Next Iron Chef Season 4. He is the executive chef and owner of several celebrated and multi-awarded restaurants in New York City, Atlantic City and Miami. He is also the author of the Town/Country: 150 Recipes for Life Around the Table, which was called “…one of the best of the year (2006)” by the New York Times.

For just one night, Zakarian will preside over a special five-course dinner at the grand ballroom of Sofitel. Dinner guests will also be treated to world-class Filipino entertainment from Isay Alvarez, Robert Sena and the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra.
Zakarian has already expressed that he is thrilled to participate in the endeavor. “Any event that benefits the victims of a catastrophic even like Typhoon Haiyan is a good thing. For me, personally, this gala allows me to get in touch with a remote, yet loyal, part of my fan base that I have not yet had the chance to interact with in person,” he said.
This dinner is part of Colours’ and Cignal’s continuing commitment to deliver events that are world-class, for a worthy cause, and inspired by the the channel’s on-screen offerings.
