MANILA, Philippines – The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) will be holding the Andrea O. Veneracion International Choral Festival in 2013.
The festival will be held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines on August 7-11, 2013. It is part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Philippine Madrigal Singers, a resident company of the CCP.
The festival is named after the founder of the Philippine Madrigal Singers National Artist for Music, Professor Andrea O. Veneracion, an esteemed choirmaster and choral clinician who is instrumental in the promotion of choral music all over the country.
The competition is open to choirs of any nationality, without age limit. Competition categories include the following: folk music, vocal ensemble and chamber choir.
