MANILA, Philippines – Do you know committed and creative individuals with a new vision of how to solve a social problem and transform society?

Ashoka, a pioneer global organization of social innovators, is looking for social innovators that have demonstrated the potential social impact of their idea and need support to fuel their systems-changing work. The Ashoka Fellows can come from any field of work – from health and human rights, to education and the environment.

Across the world, Ashoka Fellows are changing patterns in society – from transforming the way citizens engage their government to changing the way children learn about empathyIn the Philippines, Ashoka Fellow Ma. Fatima “Girlie” Garcia Lorenzo is transforming public hospitals by creating a system for psychosocial support that allows children to continue to learn, play, and grow despite their chronic illnesses.  

Once elected as Ashoka Fellows, these individuals join the powerful network of over 3,000 leading social innovators in more than 70 countries. They receive lifetime professional support and a three-year living stipend (if needed).

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year but nominations need to be submitted by March 31 to be considered for the 2014 selection panel. Self-nominations are welcome.
