MANILA, Philippines – Parts of Central Luzon will experience one to 12 hours power interruptions on Thursday(August 21) and Saturday (August 23).

In Pampanga, customers of PELCO I, PELCO II-Mabiga and PRESCO will have 12-hour power outage from 6:00AM to 6:00PM affecting parts of Mexico, Arayat, Magalang and Mabalacat.

According to National Grid Corporation of the Philippines Central Luzon said reasons of brownout is to facilitate tapping of Clark Electric Revenue Meter to Mexico-Clark line 1, installation of intermediate poles, and conduct of maintenance/corrective works along Mexico-Clark Line 1 and 2 69kV line.

Meanwhile, Tarlac Electric Inc. (TEI) said their customers in Sitio Pakilyo, Barangay Care in Tarlac City will have four and a half power outage from 8:30AM to 12:00NN on Friday, August 22.

“Outage is due to the change replacement of wooden 15kV primary distribution line poles at Sitio Pakilyo, Brgy. Care,” TEI added

In Olongapo City, Olongapo Electricity Distribution Company (EODC) announced that its parts of barangays Mabayuhan, Sta. Rita, Gordon Heights and East and West Bajac-Bajac will experience two-hour power interruptions on Saturday, August 23.

The power outage is in line with the continuing effort to improve the reliability of power distribution system in the city with the conduct of necessary repair works of defective Kalaklan-Mercurio 69kV Line.

Power interruption is scheduled from 7:00AM to 8:00AM and
4:00PM to 5:00PM affecting areas served by MErcurio Sub-Station Switching MF-5 to CF-1 including barangay East Bajac-Bajac, Sta. Rita, portion of Mabayuhan, West Bajac-Bajac, and Old Cabalan.

Power outages from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM (10 hours) will also be affecting areas served by Mercurio Sub-Station, including whole of Barangay Gordon Heights; Nwe Cabalan, portion of barangay Mabayuhan, Mulawin St. and Purok 12 of Old Cabalan, portion of barangay Sta. Rita including Sta. Rita Village, portion of Salcedo St., DDominguez St., Papaya St., Lunduyan St. and parts of Balic-Balic.
