MANILA, Philippines – The UP Streetdance Club presents “Chosen Ground 10: Noise” happening on Saturday, September 6, 7pm at the SM Skydome.
On its 10th year, the tables are turned. As one of the pioneers of Hip Hop dancing in Manila, the Club will be the ones behind the scenes gathering all dance crews and freestylers for the competition of a lifetime. The UP Streetdance Club is going to deliver a bigger and better event with more participants and thrice as many attendees as the previous CG with over 500 attendees, 13 group battles, and 4 3-on-3 battles.
Passion and hunger for glory is felt with every performance on the stage. Each winning crew doesn’t perform a typical street dance piece but a thematic one given every year. That is what makes this dance competition different from the rest. This year’s theme would be “noise” where the crew is to use stepping, beatbox and produce music using everyday things and dance to it.

Both veteran and newbie 3-on-3 freestylers will be rewarded P10,000 for winning the battle, while big time crews such as Nocturnal Dance Company, FMD Extreme, Next to Innocence and, Alliance, one of our country’s representatives to the recent World Hip Hop Dance Championship, will be battling it out on stage for P25,000.
