#Greeneration campaign for the youth
According to Sering, the Greeneration Philippines Campaign, which was launched at a National Youth Summit held at Manila during the celebration of the Climate Change Consciousness Week in 2012, is the Commission’s information, education, and communication strategy on climate change for the youth.
“The Campaign envisions a unified movement of empowered Filipino youth for a climate change-resilient Philippines,” Sering said.
The commissioner also said the activity seeks to raise awareness among the youth on the fundamentals of climate change and promote the government’s climate change-related initiatives, particularly the National Climate Change Action Plan (NCCAP) and the People’s Survival Fund.
Participants and netizens are encouraged to use the hashtag #Greeneration during the summit. – Rappler.com
