The combined musical artistry of the fabulous Alejandro family – led by OPM legend Hajji and his daughter, iconic singer-actress Rachel – will be featured in the two-concert series In The Blood at the Music Museum in Greenhills on Nov. 15 and 29.
In The Blood is an explosion of talent — the show of shows that will one minute have you feeling nostalgic, reminiscing the music we all grew up with, and the next, wanting to get up and join the party on stage.
Having enjoyed sold-out performances at the same venue together and individually in the past, the father and daughter tandem are thrilled that this time they will be sharing the stage with Hajji’s son Ali and nephews Nino and Eddie.
Ali, a former drummer for alternative rock band Mojofly, is currently a full-time musician who’s daytime job is managing the Nova Art Gallery in Makati and working on his own contemporary art. Nino is an Awit Award-winning singer/songwriter and music producer, leads popular rock band NATF and last year starred in the Manila run of The Fully Monty.
Eddie sings for alternative rock band Aspen Way and his hit single “By Your Side” made it to the 2013 Pinoy Myx Countdown.
“My cousin Nino guested in one of my shows earlier this year. His powerful voice blew the audience away! They gave him a standing ovation,” recalls Rachel, while Hajji cannot be more excited to have his family making music together. “It’s gonna be a really fun show. We all love to perform and hang out together as a family. We’re grateful for the chance to do what we love and spread some of that joy to our audiences.”
