PH embassy in Malaysia launches Second Ambassador’s Tour
The Embassy of the Philippines in Kuala Lumpur invites Malaysians and Filipinos to join the Second Ambassador's Tour to the Philippines, from May 2 to 5, 2015

This is a press release from the Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Embassy of the Philippines in Kuala Lumpur is inviting Malaysians and Filipinos to join the Second Ambassador’s Tour to the Philippines, from May 2 to 5, 2015.

Cebu and Bohol are two favorite island destinations for Filipinos and foreign tourists as well. Boasting of world class beach resorts and historical landmarks, Cebu is the country’s Gateway to the South, offering a variety of island pleasures including snorkeling, a marine sanctuary, and beautiful coastlines. A tour of a fishing village, a visit to a guitar company , and a workshop on fashion accessory making and hand painting will complete the Cebu experience. What better way to savor the island’s attractions by having a barbecue lunch right by the beach.

On the third day of the Tour, participants may at their option visit another island, Bohol, a charming and serene island that features miles of fine-sand beaches, centuries-old churches, countryside beauty and lots of friendly smiles. Participants will be given a day tour of the island that includes the world-famous Chocolate Hills, lunch while cruising the Loboc River and being entertained by a children’s choir, and a visit to the Tarsier Reserve where the world’s smallest primates can be found in their natural environment.

On the last day of the Tour, one will have a chance to see Spanish influences in Cebu through historical sights such as Magellan’s Cross, the Sto Niño Church, Casa Gorordo, and the Cebu Heritage Monument.

Participants will fly directly to Cebu through Air Asia (KL-Cebu-KL) and will stay at the four-star hotel, Radisson Blu Hotel in Ceby for three nights.

“Cebu and Bohol are top tourist destinations in the Philippines and we invite our Malaysian and Filipino friends to see and explore these two islands. I cannot be more proud to welcome you to these enchanting places,” Philippine Ambassador to Malaysia J. Eduardo Malaya said as he launched the Second Ambassador’s Tour to the Philippines.

The tour is the Embassy’s contribution to the Visit Philippines Year 2015 campaign and in response to the expression of interest to visit other areas of the Philippines by the participants of the inaugural Ambassador’s Tour to the Philippines in November 2013.

The Second Ambassador’s Tour to the Philippines is a joint undertaking of the Embassy of the Philippines, Kuala Lumpur, and the Philippine Department of Tourism.
