Civil Service Commission, JobStreet to hold 2021 Government Online Career Fair
PRESS RELEASE: The 2021 Government Online Career Fair runs from September 20 to 24

This is a press release from the Civil Service Commission.

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) and JobStreet Philippines are inviting job seekers to the 2021 Government Online Career Fair (GOCF), which will run from September 20 to 24.

To date, there are 119 government agencies which signed up for the job fair, and 2,580 vacancies to be opened. Of the total number of vacancies, 765 are first level positions (clerical, administrative, trades, crafts), 1,811 are second level positions (technical, managerial), and four are third level positions. The most number of vacancies are financial positions, followed by medical and health positions, and general administrative positions.

Applicants may access the online job fair by going to the CSC website and clicking the GOCF banner at the top of the home page.

Procedures

To join, job applicants must have an account with JobStreet. Applicants may easily open an account for free.

Applicants should also fill out their Personal Data Sheet (PDS) and upload this on their JobStreet account. The PDS template may be downloaded from the CSC website.

During the GOCF, applicants may view participating agencies and access the job listings available. They will also be able to submit their application by clicking the “apply” button on the job posting page.

The agency will then conduct the initial assessment of the applications received. They will notify the job applicants through email or SMS of the status of their application, or of additional instructions or requirements for the applicant.

Equal opportunity

The CSC highly encourages applications from qualified interested persons, including persons with disabilities, members of indigenous communities, and persons of all sexual orientations and gender identities or expressions (SOGIE).

The online GOCF eliminates physical and geographical barriers to submitting job applications, and provides a safe venue for government agencies and applicants to transact during this pandemic.

The complete mechanics of the job fair may be viewed here.

2021 anniversary celebration

The GOCF is held during Week 3 or Linggo ng Malasakit of the month-long 121st Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA). The CSC has hosted a series of events and contests for government workers as part of inspiring agility and future-readiness in the public sector. Special treats for government workers are also being offered for the month of September.

For more information about the GOCF and the PCSA, visit the CSC website or send an email to erpo@csc.gov.ph or pcsa@csc.gov.ph. – Rappler.com
