MANILA, Philippines – At least two exams have been postponed due to Typhoon Karen (international codename Sarika) on Saturday, October 15.
In a Facebook post, the De La Salle University announced that the DLSU College Admission Test (DCAT) set for Sunday, October 16, would be postponed due to inclement weather conditions.
The DLSU rescheduled the DCAT to Sunday, November 6.
The university's Office of Admissions and Scholarships may be contacted for inquiries at 524-4611 local 166 or 167 when office work resumes.
The Junior Level Science Scholarships (JLSS) Exam, originally scheduled for October 16, from Regions V & IV-B was also postponed by the Department of Science and Technology – Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) due to bad weather condition brought about by Typhoon Karen.
In a press release, the DOST-SEI said the postponement shall cover the following provinces: Catanduanes, Albay, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, and Sorsogon in Region V, and Marinduque in Region IV-B.
Examinees from these provinces will be advised on the rescheduling of the JLSS Exam, it added.
