Patricia Evangelista receives NCCA's Ani ng Dangal award

MANILA, Philippines - Rappler multimedia manager and reporter Patricia Evangelista is one of this year's Ani ng Dangal awardees for her achievements in broadcast arts.

Organized by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), the Ani ng Dangal (harvest of honors) Awards is given to artists and cultural workers whose works have earned international awards and accolades during the previous year.

In 2014, Evangelista was awarded the Agence France-Presse Kate Webb Prize for her compelling reporting on disaster and conflict in the Philippines. When Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) struck the Visayan region in 2013, she spent a month reporting from the affected communities.
