Are you a commuter? Share your vlog to raise awareness on mobility issues

What is your commuter story?

If you are a freelance social media influencer, a content creator, a transport advocate, or a regular commuter interested in making an impact through video storytelling, vlog your commuting experience and raise awareness on issues and necessary reforms to achieve smart and sustainable mobility.

Through creative and candid storytelling, the “Ang Kwentong Komyuter Ko Vlog Competition” aims to change the narrative from #CommuterWoes to #CommuterWins.

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted freedom of movement both in the rural and urban areas. As travel restrictions begin to ease up, there are old and new stories about the woes of commuting that remain to be addressed. This includes the lack of economical transportation options, road congestion given the number of private vehicles, and the breakdown of the public transport system.

But there are also positive developments. For instance, more people are now using bikes to get to their destination.

Ten vlogs will be selected, and will receive P30,000. The creators will be part of a mentorship program that includes a learning session on sustainable transport, and a workshop content creation. Deadline for entries is on Thursday, September 30, 2021.

It is important to follow health and safety protocols. It is not necessary to film outside of the house. How one presents the narrative through creative storytelling will be the main criterion.

The contest is organized by Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF). FNF promotes discussions on building smart cities, part of which is efficient and sustainable mobility.
