By 6 am on Monday, July 26, Commonwealth Avenue (Northbound) will be closed to private vehicles. 

Drivers are advised to take the following alternate routes:

  • Drivers from QCMC should take North Avenue, turn right to Mindanao Avenue, or turn right to Visayas Avenue, turn left to Congressional or Tandang Sora Avenue, then exit Mindanao Avenue. Turn right to Quirino Highway going to Commonwealth Extension, passing through the right-turn S&R Shopping Store landmark heading to the Southbound lane.
  • Drivers and commuters residing along Commonwealth Avenue to Fairview may take the QCPD Libreng Sakay service traversing along the said routes.

At 6 am on Monday, July 26, the entire stretch of IBP Road may be placed on lockdown if heavy traffic occurs.  

In case an IBP Road lockdown occurs, the police advise drivers to follow these directions:

  • Drivers from QCMC to Filinvest 1 and 2, Brgy Bagong Silangan, and some inner portions of Batasan Hills, should take Maharlika Street, then turn left to Mayaman Street, then turn right to Maginhawa Street, turn left to Masinsinan Street, then turn right to CP Garcia to Katipunan Avenue, then take the u-turn slot in front of Miriam College then turn right to H. Ventura Street. Turn left to Heizer Street then turn right to Katipunan Extension, then take a left turn to JP Rizal to San Mateo road to the destination.
  • Drivers from Filinvest 1 Subdivision affected by traffic lockdown at IBP Road should take Luzviminda Street to Cotabato Street then turn left to Sinagtala St. to Congressional Street leading to Batasan-San Mateo Road and exit to Marikina Road to their destination.
  • Drivers from San Mateo Road to Filinvest 2 Subdivision/Bagong Silangan can take Doña Franceska Street then turn left to Doña Juliana Street to King Street then turn right to Don Vicente to Bagong Silangan or Filinvest Gate 2.
  • Drivers from Capitol Hills and Vista Real Executive Village going to QCMC may drive counter to the flow using the inner lane of Commonwealth Avenue (North Bound) to Zuzuarregui to Katipunan.
