PH stocks pull back, stay at 5,800 level

The Philippine Stock Exchange Index closes slightly above 5,800 level on Wednesday, December 12

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) closed lower at 5,819.79 on Wednesday, December 12.

The PSEi shed off 11.71 points or 0.2% on Wednesday, after it posted a 37th all-time high on Tuesday, December 11.

Wednesday’s close was still above the 5,800 point-mark and the second time in a row the local bourse closed at that level.

The All Share index, meanwhile, grew 2.19 points or 0.06% to 3,730.89 points points on Wednesday. 

Some 4.5 billion shares changed hands at a value of P8.55 billion. 

There were 99 gainers and 71 losers. Some 43 stocks remained unchanged. 

The PSEi closed the first trading day of the week on Monday at 5,757.54 points, lower than Friday’s close at 5,794.20 points. – Rappler.com
