(4th UPDATE) Here are Philippine banks' operating hours for the holiday season

MANILA, Philippines (4th UPDATE) – Some bank branches will have extended hours for the 2017 holiday season, though they will be closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI)

119 BPI and 49 BPI Family Savings Bank (BFSB) branches will have extended banking hours up to 6 pm through to January 3.

In addition to this, 96 BPI and 17 BFSB branches will be open on December 23.

Security Bank

All Security Bank branches will be closed on December 25, December 31, and January 1. But automated teller machines (ATMs) and point-of-sale machines as well as internet banking will be available on those days.

All branches will be open from December 26 to 29.

  • Cagayan de Oro-Georgetown Cybermall – 9 am to 3 pm
  • Cebu-Danao – 9 am to 12:30 pm
  • Cebu-Mactan – 10 am to 3 pm
  • Dipolog – 9 am to 3 pm
  • Iligan – 9 am to 3 pm
  • Iloilo-Ledesma – 10 am to 2 pm
  • Koronadal – 9 am to 12 noon
  • Medical City – 9 am to 1 pm
  • NAIA – 11 am to 7 pm
  • NAIA Terminal 3 – 11 am to 7 pm
  • Ozamiz – 9 am to 3 pm
  • San Francisco-Agusan del Sur – 9 am to 3 pm
  • Silver City – 9 am to 1 pm
  • Sta Elena – 9 am to 12 noon
  • Surigao – 9 am to 3 pm
  • Tagum – 9 am to 12 noon

 PSBank

All PSBank branches will be closed on December 25 and January 1. Automated teller machines (ATMs), PSBank Mobile as well as internet banking will remain available.

For payroll concerns, crediting on Monday, December 25 and January 1 will proceed.

Customers with automatic debit agreement concerns should take note of the following:

  • Bills payments, accounts with due date on December 25 and January 1 will proceed
  • Payments for PSBank loans will be value dated on its original due date and accounts will be debited on December 26 and January 2
  • Accounts not debited on December 25 or January 1 due to insufficient funds should be funded by December 26 or January 2 to avoid penalties

Clearing of checks will be suspended on December 25 as well as January 1 and 2.

Checks received after cut-off time on Friday, December 22 will be processed on Tuesday, December 26. Checks also received after cut-off time on Friday, Decemebr 29 and received on Tuesday, January 2 will be processed on Wednesday, January 3. 

No penalties will be charged for checks intended for PSBank loan payments dated on December 25, as well as January 1 and 2.

For time deposits, maturities on December 25 will be processed on December 26. Maturities on January 1 will also be processed on January 2.

Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas 

BSP services – including clearing and settlement, cash servicing, and treasury trading facilities – will not be available on December 26 and January 2

But BSP cash units in Manila and Quezon City, regional offices, and branches will remain open on December 26 for the exchange of demonetized notes from 8:30 am to 12 noon

December 26 and January 2 will also be non-reserve days. Reserve position as computed at the close of business on Friday, December 22, shall be carried till Tuesday, December 26.

Reports due on December 26 and January 2 may be submitted on the next banking day with no penalties.  

BSP advised all banks and non-banks with quasi-banking functions to make necessary arrangements to ensure smooth operations in time for the regular holidays as well as the dates after, as covered by Malacañang Memorandum Circular Number 37
