MANILA, Philippines (3rd UPDATE) – The restoration of telecommunications services continues in areas hit by Typhoon Ompong (Mangkhut).
In a statement on Sunday, September 16, PLDT and Smart said fixed line and mobile services in Northern Luzon and Central Luzon “have been brought back up to about 96%.”
They said “round-the-clock” network restoration work is focused on Cagayan, Benguet, Apayao, Mountain Province, and Kalinga.
