MANILA, Philippine – International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI) of port and casino magnate Enrique Razon Jr. has been shortlisted to build and operate a $1.6-billion container terminal project in Melbourne.

ICTS is partnership with Australia-based Anglo Ports and two other parties for the bid.

Their consortium is among 4 parties that the Port of Melbourne Corp. shortlisted for the project, which will be bid out in September. The others are CMA CGM, ANL Container Line and Macquarie Specialised Asset Management; Hutchison Port Holdings; and Qube Holding.

The winning bidder will be awarded the contract to build a new terminal located at Melbourne’s Webb Dock East covering about 30 hectares of waterfront, a utility “off-dock” area and a container facility.
