URC, the food and beverage arm of JG Summit Holdings Incorporated said in a statement that its net income reached P10.117 billion, up by 23.6% from the same period last year.

The sales of its branded consumer food (BCF) group amounted to P42.181 billion, up by 22.8% from P34.351 billion the year before. Sales of Great Taste coffee and C2 ready-to-drink (RTD) tea pushed the net sales of the group.

URC continued to be the market leader in salty snacks, candies, chocolates, and RTD tea in the country, while its coffee products were the second in the market.

URC’s international BCF business also increased its sales to P22.054 billion, up by 11.9% from the previous year. The main drivers for this growth were:
