The collections were however 18.35% higher than what the bureau generated in May 2012.

Collections from BIR operations amounted to P109.51 billion, 1.28% less than the goal set for such operations, but 18.69% more than collections made in May 2012.

Collections from non-BIR operations, mainly taxes on government securities, surpassed the May goal by 42.9%. These were also 4.57% higher than the collections booked in the same month last year. – Rappler.com
