Gokongwei buys Malaysia’s Munchy Food for P22.8 billion

Gokongwei-led Universal Robina Corporation (URC) acquired Malaysia’s Munchy Food Industries (Munchy’s) for $453.5 million (P22.8 billion).

In a stock exchange filing, URC said its subsidiary, URC Snack Foods Malaysia, has reached an agreement with private equity firm CVC Capital Partners to acquire 100% of Munchy’s.

Leandro Leviste to investors: Think long term for Solar PH Nueva Ecija IPO

Leandro Leviste’s Solar Philippines Nueva Ecija Corporation (SPNEC) is set to go public, even though its power plant is not yet operational.

Leviste is setting low expectations for dividends in the short term, but said investing in SPNEC would be rewarding in a few years.
