BPI Q3 profits up 26.8%

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) saw profits grow by 26.8% to P10.1 billion in the third quarter of 2022, as its revenues and customer base expanded during the period.

Year-to-date revenues climbed by 22% to P87.5 billion, boosted by a 20.5% growth in net interest income. 

Net income for the first nine months reached P30.5 billion on higher revenues and lower provisions.

Non-interest income rose 26% to P25.8 billion due to forex gains and higher credit card fees.
