Megaworld to launch new condo in Iloilo Business Park
MANILA, Philippines – Megaworld Corporation is set to unveil its second residential condominium project in Iloilo Business Park, almost a year after it unveiled its first project there.
Set to be completed in 2018, Lafayette Park Square is a 14-storey single tower offering 289 residential units, ranging from studio-type to three-bedroom layouts. The tower features French and Spanish agricultural designs, making it Megaworld’s first themed residential condominium in the 72-hectare Iloilo Business Park, at the site of Iloilo City's old airport.
It is expected to generate P1.4 billion in revenues, said Megaworld, owned by tycoon Andrew Tan.
In March 2013, Megaworld launched the three-tower One Madison Place, also in the same Iloilo township. Its units were sold out in less than 8 months, Megaworld said.
“We are definitely bullish about Iloilo. Aside from the local market, we have seen an increasing demand for residential condominiums in Iloilo from the international market," said Jennifer Palmares-Fong, head of marketing for residential business of the Iloilo Business Park.
The tower’s ground level will feature commercial and retail shops. On its third floor amenity deck, there will be an exclusive swimming pool, a kiddie pool, a pool lounge, a Jacuzzi, a state-of-the-art fitness gym, a spacious social hall, a daycare center and children’s play area, and a reading nook and garden.
The building is named after the Lafayette Park Square
On Wednesday, January 15, Megaworld announced that it would expand its Mactan Newtown development project in Cebu, from 16.8 hectares to 28.8 hectares, after it formed a joint venture with Landmark Inc. – Rappler.com
