RCBC Savings ATMs now up and working

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) — Several Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) Savings cardholders on Friday, July 31, said they were unable to access their funds at automated teller machines (ATMs).

This is because RCBC Savings continues “to face technical issues in getting its network fully operational,” it explained in a statement on Saturday, August 1.

“As a result, you will still be unable to access your funds via our ATMs and even through Bancnet,” RCBC Retail Banking Group Head Marie Rose Ancheta said. 

Although Ancheta earlier did not say when the ATMs will be up and running, she assured RCBC cardholders that her team is working continuously to get its system operational “as soon as possible.”

In an advisory Sunday, August 2, the bank announced that its “ATMs are already up and working as of last night, August 1.”

“We are pleased to announce that the RCBC network has been fully restored and is back on normal operations. You may now do your transactions through any of our ATMs and via the Bancnet ATM system,” RCBC Savings Bank said in a Facebook post.

“We would like to apologize for the inconveniences you have been experiencing in the use of our ATMs,” Ancheta said.

Ancheta said the Yuchengco-led bank “will be taking all necessary preventive measures to avoid the same service interruption in the future.” – Rappler.com
