3 Philippine companies land on Forbes Asia’s Best Under A Billion 2020 list
Companies in Forbes Asia's list have 'exceptional corporate performance'

Three Philippine companies landed on Forbes Asia’s annual Best Under A Billion list, which comprises 200 publicly listed small and midsized companies in the Asia-Pacific with sales under $1 billion.

The companies that made it to the list have “track records of exceptional corporate performance,” according to Forbes.

The unranked list is based on full-year data as of July 7 and does not reflect the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

The 3 companies are:

Asia United Bank (AUB)

Sales: $319 million

Net income: $86 million

Market value: $461 million

AUB was founded in 1997 and is involved in commercial, consumer, and branch banking. 

Crown Asia Chemicals

Sales: $319 million

Net income: $3 million

Market value: $24 million

Crown, founded in 1989, manufactures plastic and synthetic resins and compounds. Its plant is located in Guiguinto, Bulacan.

Vivant Corporation

Sales: $70 million

Net income: $45 million

Market value: $279 million

Vivant, a Cebu-based company founded in 1990, is a power generation and distribution firm. It has both renewable and non-renewable energy sources in its portfolio.
