RedDoorz, a Southeast Asia hotel management group, is launching its new lifestyle economy brand Sans Hotel in the Philippines, as it tries to expand as a multi-brand platform.

RedDoorz’s Sans Hotel is aiming to capture the millennial and Gen Z markets, with its trendy and vibrant furnishings and amenities.

RedDoorz Philippines country manager Miguel Capistrano said each hotel under the brand “has a unique design, a theme, and a personality.”

RedDoorz’s first Sans Hotel in the Philippines is located at the retrofitted art deco Laperal Apartments – now known to students in Manila’s University Belt as Youniversity Suites.

“As they were badly hit by the pandemic, they closed down. We talked to the owners to transform one of the towers to become the Sans Hotel as it is now,” Capistrano told reporters on Tuesday, June 29.

Rooms are currently priced from P1,215 to P1,980 at the booking platform.

RedDoorz is planning to bring the Sans Hotel brand to Tagaytay City and Cebu City in 2021. For the next six months, Capistrano said the platform is eyeing to open 10 more Sans Hotel properties.

“We are excited to grow with local hotel players in high-demand cities for the new customer segment – the younger sector who are eager to go out and explore not only for staycations but even for any kind of safe travels,” Capistrano said.

The first Sans Hotel debuted in Indonesia in November 2020.

Multi-brand platform

RedDoorz is also planning to bring its latest upscale brand Sunerra Hotels to the Philippines.

It launched its first Sunerra Hotel property in Jakarta earlier in June.

For the Philippines, Capistrano said RedDoorz is planning to open “one to two properties” under Sunerra Hotels in 2021.

“The next brand is a five-star property, full hotel amenities in the works,” said Capistrano.

RedDoorz has 250 hotel partners in the Philippines, its second largest market next to Indonesia.

It now has four brands, targeting almost every market segment – RedDoorz (budget rooms), KoolKost (affordable long stays), Sans Hotels (economy lifestyle), and Sunerra Hotels (midscale to upscale hotels). – Rappler.com
