MANILA, Philippines – We know Taylor Swift loves to invite her famous friends to share the stage with her during her 1989 shows, and according to The Daily Beast, during her Los Angeles show on August 24, Taylor brought out a ’90s icon – Alanis Morissette.
Taylor introduced her guest by saying that she inspired a “generation of confessional female singer-songwriters.”
“I think it’s fair to say that so many of the female singer-songwriters of my generation, including myself, would not write the way that we do without her and her music,” said Taylor.
Alanis then rose up from the stage and the two performed “the greatest breakup song of all time,” Alanis’ “You Oughta Know.”
Taylor tweeted a couple of pictures after the concert of herself and Alanis performing, calling Alanis “absolutely magnificent.”
