Avril Lavigne, Chad Kroeger separate

MANILA, Philippines – Singer Avril Lavigne announced that she and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger are separating.

Avril posted the news on her Instagram account.

“It is with heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today. Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we’ve created many unforgettable moments. We are still, and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other. To all our family, friends and fans, thank you sincerely for the support,” Avril wrote.

Chad meanwhile is currently resting after Nickelback canceled their tour for him to recover frm his vocal chord operation.

Avril and Chad tied the knot in 2013 in Canada. Avril was previously married to Deryck Whibley of Sum 41. 

Avril recently gave an update about her recovery from Lyme disease last year. At the time of the interview, she also said that Chad, her family, and fans were instrumental in helping her get back on her feet. – Rappler.com
