Americans try to figure out what pabebe means in this hilarious video

MANILA, Philippines – It looks like AlDub fever has hit foreign shores!

We all know what AlDub means when we see it trend daily on Twitter – the tandem of Alden Richards and Yaya Dub (Maine Mendoza) from Eat Bulaga‘s segment, “Juan for All, All for Juan” has got everyone talking in the Philippines. But what does AlDub mean to foreigners who don’t – or can’t – keep up with the kalyeserye?

Buzzfeed came out with a video on October 30 showing what exactly Americans think about the AlDub tandem and the show. For the video above, the Buzzfeed team watched the first “Juan for All, All for Juan” episode that started it all.

“This show is electric!” cries one of the crew members as soon as the video starts.

Aside from their reactions, the video also gave short explanations as to what AlDub is exactly, so even people who have never heard of the tandem could understand what was going on.

The general reaction to AlDub in the video appeared to be confusion –  “What is pabebe?” – but it looks like they loved it nonetheless: “Say goodbye to your Desperate Housewives, your Parks and Recreation, throw that sh-t out! Eat Bulaga is comin’ to the States.”
