'Eat Bulaga' stars visit Eastwood to celebrate their stars on the 'Walk of Fame'

MANILA, Philippines – AlDub breakout star Maine Mendoza and the trio of Wally Bayola, Jose Manalo, and Paolo Ballesteros (aka JoWAPao), were among those honored with stars on the walk of fame in Eastwood Tuesday, December 1.

Alden Richards also received a star but was unable to come due to health reasons.

The Eat Bulaga stars, who all made waves this year as part of the show’s kalyeserye featuring the viral AlDub storyline, thanked fans for supporting them throughout all they’ve been through.

Maraming salamat po sa lahat, sa AlDub Nation, maraming salamat po,” Maine said during the unveiling of the star. (Thank you to all, to the AlDub Nationn, thank you so much.)

Salamat po, masayang, masaya. Salamat po kay Kuya Germs and sa lahat ng bumubuo nito maraming salamat din po na nabigyan din ng ganitong award…” Jose said. (Thank you, very happy. Thank you to Kuya Germs and to everyone behind [the Walk of Fame], thank you and we were given this type of award.)

Wally, who plays the strict but lovable Lola Nidora, said the honor was an answered prayer. And in typical Lola Nidora fashion, he left a saying.

Kapag nagpatuloy kang magdasal, maganda ang ang kalalabasan,” he said. (If you continue to pray, the outcome of everything will be beautiful.)

Paolo meanwhile said: “Nakakatuwa kasi dati, nililibot lang namin ito at kung sino ang mga kasama doon ngayon kasama na kami.” (It’s an honor because we only used to walk around and check out the names, and now, we’re part of it.)

Paolo said that fans should continue to watch what will happen on the show as they themselves don’t know what’s coming next.

Other celebrities honored with a star include Enrique Gil, Sam Concepcion, Gabby Concepcion, Alice Dixson, The Company, Gerphil Flores, Rocco Nacino, Randy Santiago, and Eula Valdez. The Walk of Fame is now celebrating its 10-year anniversary.
